As TGA opens the bonds, cysteine works simultaneously with TGA supplying cysteine residues that buffer and begin reforming the bonds as softening occurs. Partial re-formation and reinforcement happen during the softening window, the bonds are not fully broken.

Cysteine oxidises into cystine gradually, allowing disulfide bridges to re-link in their new configuration. The bonds reform around the new lash curl or brow style, locking in shape.

This dual action process ensures that the lift remains controlled and gentle, even on fine or previously treated hairs. The result is a visibly softer and healthier appearance immediately after the lash lift or brow lamination treatment.

Solo Lift Brow Lamination — Step-by-Step

Consult & check contraindications
Confirm suitability (broken skin, irritation, psoriasis in the brow area, recent retinoids or peels, etc.).
Initial cleanse (hair + surrounding skin)
Cleanse brows thoroughly using sterile water, brow shampoo or a professional cleanser to remove makeup, SPF and oils.
Apply Solo Lift
Apply Solo Lift evenly throughout the brows, ensuring consistent coverage from start to finish. Uneven application may cause certain areas to lift more than others and could potentially over process areas with more product if left on too long. Do not in any circumstance cover with clingfilm, this will create excess heat which could damage, break and cause over processing of the hair.
Process
Average processing time: 6–8 minutes (adjust for hair type).
Use the parting or splitting technique to check the hairs have soften, usually at the 2-3 minute mark, brush the hairs from the root into the desired direction, leave on for remaining minutes until fixed in their new position. Check for bounce back every minute after softening window.
Remove Solo Lift thoroughly
Remove all product with a cleansing shampoo, removal must be thorough, cleansing must be done with a silicone applicator, spoolie or brush, followed by sponges or similar, a wipe over is not sufficient to remove all product.

Post-Solo Lift Prep (Before Tint or Hybrid Dye)

Prime
Apply brow primer to the hair and surrounding skin to remove excess oils and refine the surface.
Dry fully
Pat dry with lint-free gauze or sheets until completely dry.
Map & apply
Map the brows and apply hybrid dye

Option B — Traditional Tint

Apply traditional tint
Traditional tint may be applied using a more relaxed/messy application technique.
Process & remove
Process according to the tint manufacturer’s guidelines, then remove thoroughly with cleanser.
Finish
Apply Step 3 Volume Drops.
A traditional Step 1.5 is not required, but may be applied after tint removal if desired (never before).

Solo Lift Lash Lift — Step-by-Step

Consult & check contraindications
Confirm suitability (eye infections or irritation, recent eye surgery, medical conditions, etc.).
Cleanse
Cleanse lashes thoroughly to remove all makeup, SPF and oils.
Lashes must be completely clean for a reliable lift.
Shield selection & placement
Select the shield based on the desired result, eye shape, lash length (lift vs curl).
Apply the shield securely to the eyelid.
Lift lashes onto the shield
Lift lashes onto the shield cleanly and evenly.
Adhere & perfect separation
Use balm to secure lashes back onto the shield.
Ensure lashes are straight, evenly separated and aligned (no criss-crossing).
Apply Solo Lift
Apply Solo Lift evenly from root to mid-length only.
Avoid the tips and avoid contact with the waterline or skin.
Keep distribution consistent across both eyes.
Process
Average lift time: 8–12 minutes (adjust based on lash strength and thickness).
If using balm to adhere lashes back to the shield, add two minutes.
V-check
Perform the V-check to confirm lashes are set and holding their new direction.
Remove dry Remove with lint free applicator, brush or silicone applicator
Remove thoroughly with cleanser
Remove all product completely from the lashes.
Ensure no residue remains.
Tint
Apply and process according to the tint manufacturer’s guidelines, then remove thoroughly
Finish
Apply Step 3 Volume Drops.
A traditional Step 1.5 is not necessary but may be applied after tint removal if desired (never before).
